Job Corps is the largest nationwide no-cost residential career training program in the country and has been operating for 60 years. It is administered by the Office of Job Corps (OJC) in the Department of Labor’s (DOL’s) Employment and Training Administration (ETA). With a mission to attract eligible young people, teach them the skills they need to become employable and independent, and place them in meaningful jobs or further education, the program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment. Job Corps has trained and educated over two million individuals in it’s over 120 centers nationwide.

CLS is the is the prime contractor and manages the day-to-day operations of the Jacksonville Job Corp Center in Duval County, Florida. We are supported by our sub – Contractor, Odle Management, (https://eckerd.org/jobs-training/affiliated-partnership/odle/) a wholly owned subsidiary of Eckerd Connects, (https://eckerd.org) a private, national nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
The Jacksonville Job Corps Center actively engages in Outreach and Admissions (OA) to attract eligible students from the surrounding area. Most students live on campus, but non-residential training is also available.

Students gain practical experience by working with local employers prior to program completion and Career Transition Services help graduates transition smoothly into the workforce.
